Our Music Ministry Mission
Our mission within the music ministry is to be the voice of God’s message of Good News to everyone who we encounter. We pray to sing, play, dance and to deliver an opportunity, pleasing to God’s ears, to those who can hear - allowing them to be closer to Christ through music.
Much is planned in 2009 as some details are unveiled below!
Our hope as we go into the Advent season 2008 is to give the gift of music to our congregation and community through special programs as well as in our weekly worship. Much preparation has gone into development of these programs. They are as follows:
Good News Cherub’s
Sunday December 14th, During Worship Service: Three Wise Men and A Baby
This is the first musical production our Cherub’s will deliver describing the miracle of Christ’s birth. The pageant will be sung and acted out by all of our children at Good News. In addition, this is the kick off to our new children’s music program which will provide additional programs throughout the year including Easter and Summer musical opportunities for children up to 13 years of age.
We believe that the power of Christ and the message of hope to our children is crucial to bringing them up as children of God. My personal memories learning about Christ through music as a child drive a stron commitment to give the gift of music to our young ones so they can better understand God’s love for them.
Please also know - Everyone is welcome to participate no matter how many rehearsals you have attended. We will find a great way for all of our children to be involved so come on in and let us share the message of Christ with your child through music!

Joining them will be our youth to share the magic of hand mime and black light performance. This is truly a celebration of the true Miracle of Christmas that the whole family can enjoy together.
Anyone wishing to join us is always welcome so come on in. We rehears alternating Tuesday and Thursdays and every Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Holy Ground, the location where our new church building will reside.
